Hello, Iām Sana.
I am a designer, researcher, and organizational leader developing impactful solutions for complex challenges ā bringing science and technology out of the lab and into the world.
Currently, I serve as Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer at Aurelia Institute, a non-profit space architecture R&D lab, where I lead architecture, brand, and human-centered design strategy for space contexts. I am also a designer and research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab Space Exploration Initiative, where I lead the Astronaut Ethnography project.
In the past, I have developed visualizations for genomics applications at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, developed open source demos, IDEs, and visual coding interfaces for IBM Quantum teams at IBM Research, and have taught design to engineering students at the Yale Center for Engineering Innovation and Design.
